Secondary glazing in Leeds and West Yorkshire.
Secondary glazing is an internal frame and pane fitted inside your existing window reveal: a second layer of glass that sits behind your original window without changing the outside appearance of your property.
It’s a practical solution for listed buildings, conservation areas and older homes where replacing the original windows isn’t an option. Draughty sash windows, rooms facing busy roads, ground-floor flats near city routes – these are the situations where secondary glazing makes the most difference.
We cover Leeds and West Yorkshire and our surveyor visits your property before anything is made or ordered.
We specialise in the following types of secondary glazing:
- Horizontal Sliding
- Hinged
- Lift Out
- Basic Insert
- Vertical Sliding
- Heritage Range suitable for period properties

How it works
Four steps from first contact to finished installation:
1) Send us a few details: Tell us which rooms and what you’re trying to fix: noise, draughts, insulation. A photo or two of the windows helps us get started.
2) We measure up: Our surveyor visits your property in Leeds or West Yorkshire to take accurate measurements and talk through your options.
3) Made to measure: Your secondary glazing is manufactured in the UK to fit your exact openings and frame type. Standard lead time is 6-8 weeks from survey to delivery.
4) We fit and tidy up: Our fitting team handles the full installation and leave the site clean and tidy.
What affects the price?
Secondary glazing is quoted per job.
- Number and size of windows: More windows and larger openings mean more material and more fitting time. A rough count and approximate sizes is a good starting point.
- Frame type and opening style: Sliding, hinged, lift-out or heritage: each suits a different window style and carries a different cost. We’ll advise on the right fit during the survey.
- Access and specialist requirements: High-level windows, restricted access or unusual reveals all affect installation time. If any of that applies, mention it early.
- Glass specification: Standard glass covers most situations. Acoustic glass is available where noise is the priority and safety glass where building regulations require it.
