Val’s complete Leeds home transformation

Val Clerehugh came to us wanting to refresh her Leeds home with new windows, doors and a conservatory she could use all year round. What followed was a two-phase project that transformed both the look and comfort of her property.

Here’s how we approached it, what we installed and the results six months on.

The project: a two-phase transformation

Val wanted to refresh her home’s appearance and improve its energy efficiency. Rather than doing everything at once, we planned a phased approach.

Phase 1: Replace all windows and install new composite and French doors

Phase 2: Transform the conservatory with a SupaLite warm roof

Phase 1: New windows and doors throughout

For the first phase, we installed:

  • Replacement windows throughout the property
  • Front and side composite doors
  • French doors opening onto the patio


Choosing the right colour

Val chose agate grey for the exterior, which works well with the home’s stonework. The interior would be white to keep everything bright and modern.

Our surveyor, Andy Dalton, brought glass samples to Val’s home so she could see the bathroom window options in situ. It’s a small thing, but it meant she could make confident decisions without second-guessing later.

The installation

Our fitting teams worked throughout the installation, completing phase one ahead of schedule. The scaffolding went up efficiently at the start and came down promptly once the upstairs windows were done.

Phase 2: Transforming the conservatory

After the success of phase one, Val was ready to tackle the conservatory. A lot of homeowners find their conservatories are too cold in winter and too hot in summer, but a warm roof can change that.

We installed:

  • SupaLite warm roof system
  • Ember coloured tiles
  • New conservatory frames

The SupaLite system is designed to make conservatories comfortable all year round. The temperature control is immediate, and the room stays light and bright thanks to the roof design.

Immediate results

Val noticed the difference straight away.
